TV Mounting is the separate service for wall-mounting a television, and it is a common pairing: assemble a media console first, then mount the TV above it in the same appointment so cable runs and heights are planned together instead of guessed at twice. How pricing works

Furniture Assembly is fixed, per-item pricing. Each piece is priced individually based on its type and complexity, so a two-drawer nightstand and a modular sectional are not treated the same:

• Item type and part count are the main drivers. A small side table with a dozen parts costs less than a wardrobe with sliding doors, soft-close drawers, and back panels.
• Quantity matters. Assembling several pieces in one visit, a full bedroom set, for example, is typically more efficient per item than booking single pieces separately.
• Wall anchoring for tip-over safety on tall furniture (dressers, bookcases, tall wardrobes) is part of a standard build and uses the anchor hardware included by the manufacturer where provided.
• Condition of the box and hardware affects time: missing or stripped fasteners, damaged panels, or unclear instructions add labor that we flag before proceeding rather than charging for silently.

• Wall mounting of a television, mirror, or artwork above or near the assembled piece; that is a separate line item, easy to bundle into the same visit
• Furniture repair for pieces that arrived damaged from the manufacturer or retailer
• Disassembly and reassembly of existing furniture for a move, unless added to the scope
• Electrical work for furniture with built-in lighting or outlets; where wiring is involved, that portion is flagged for a OCILB-licensed electrical partner rather than completed as part of assembly
• Custom modifications to manufacturer designs

Central Ohio context

Furniture assembly itself does not care much about your wall type, but where the piece ends up does. In older Clintonville, German Village, and Bexley homes, plaster-and-lath walls behave differently than drywall when it comes to anchoring a tall bookcase or wardrobe: plaster is harder and more brittle, standard drywall anchors can crack the surface, and stud spacing in older construction is not always the even 16 inches you get in a newer build. We check what is behind the wall before anchoring rather than assuming.

In newer Dublin, New Albany, and Lewis Center construction, drywall over consistent stud spacing usually means faster, more predictable anchoring, but it also means more furniture arriving at once, full rooms of new-build furnishing rather than a single replacement piece, so batching several items into one visit is common and typically the more efficient way to book it.
