Is this the right service for you?
Trim Painting Pro fits when trim work spans a meaningful portion of the home rather than a single small area. Situations that call for this tier:
- Whole-house trim refresh. Every baseboard, casing, and length of crown molding in the home gets a coordinated repaint as one project, often alongside or ahead of a whole-home wall repaint.
- Multiple rooms of trim at once. Several rooms’ worth of baseboards and casing, booked and scheduled together rather than room by room.
- Trim as part of a bigger repaint. You’re already booking Whole-Home Painting or a multi-room project through Interior Painting, and want the trim throughout handled by the same coordinated crew and schedule.
- A larger crown molding project. Ornate or extensive crown molding across several rooms, which takes considerably more time per linear foot than baseboard and benefits from a dedicated crew working it as one job.
- A new-construction or renovation trim package. Fresh trim installed across multiple rooms that needs its first full coat as one project rather than piecemeal.
This is important to get right before booking: Transit & Flow also publishes a separate, smaller-scope Trim Painting service under our handyman offerings, built for a single-area trim touch-up job, a scuffed baseboard run in one hallway, one room’s casing, a short section of molding, often bundled with other handyman work during the same visit. If your trim project is that size, the handyman Trim Painting page is the better fit and is typically priced and scheduled faster as a smaller job. Trim Painting Pro, this page, is for the larger end: a whole home’s trim, several rooms at once, or trim folded into a bigger dedicated repaint project with its own crew. As a rule of thumb, “one room” or “one hallway” points to the handyman Trim Painting page; “the whole house” or “several rooms” points here.
Wall painting for the rooms involved is priced separately; see Room Painting or Whole-Home Painting depending on your project’s size.
How pricing works
Trim Painting Pro is priced by total linear footage and room count across the project, with volume efficiency built in since a dedicated crew moves through multiple rooms or the whole home as one job rather than mobilizing separately for each area.
- Total linear footage. Baseboard, casing, and crown molding across every room in scope are measured and priced together, rather than as separate small visits.
- Room and area count. More rooms in the project generally improves per-room efficiency versus booking the same trim work as several standalone jobs.
- Molding complexity. Simple baseboard profiles price differently than ornate crown molding, which takes more time per linear foot regardless of size.
- Coordination with wall painting. When trim is bundled into a Whole-Home Painting or multi-room project, shared masking and staging reduce redundant setup time.
- Prep across the project. Old caulk lines, multiple paint layers, or heavily yellowed trim in some rooms are itemized so you see where the extra time is going.
As general market context, not a Transit & Flow Group quote, Angi and HomeGuide report baseboard and trim painting commonly running $1 to $4 per linear foot, with a typical single-room trim job landing between $500 and $2,000; larger whole-home trim projects that scale across many rooms commonly land well above that single-room range depending on total footage and molding complexity, and professional labor for trim work is often billed around $20 to $50 per hour. Starting at $299.. Enter your project details and photos in the Estimate Builder for a preliminary online estimate. Final scope and price subject to verification on site.

Larger-scope trim projects in Central Ohio
Older homes in Clintonville, German Village, and Bexley often carry original wood trim across every room, baseboards, casings, and sometimes extensive crown molding, painted many times over the decades. When trim spans the whole house, paint buildup, yellowing, and profile complexity vary room to room, which is exactly why a whole-home trim project benefits from one crew assessing and pricing it together rather than a series of disconnected visits. Central Ohio’s humid summers can also extend cure times on larger trim projects, and we plan multi-room schedules around that rather than rushing a whole house’s worth of trim to an arbitrary date. Newer construction in Dublin and New Albany tends to have simpler trim profiles throughout, part of why whole-home trim projects there often move faster per linear foot than the same scope in an older home with ornate, multi-layered molding.
Our process
- Describe your trim scope online. Rooms or the whole home, trim types involved, and photos, entered in the Estimate Builder for a preliminary online estimate.
- On-site confirmation. We measure total linear footage across every room in scope, assess condition, and confirm masking needs.
- Prep and masking across the project. Trim is cleaned and sanded, adjacent surfaces masked room by room.
- Painting. Primer where needed, then coats applied with the cut-in technique trim requires, moving room to room as one coordinated job.
- Final walkthrough. We review the finished trim throughout the project with you before wrapping up.
Services completed by appropriately qualified professionals where required.
