Eco-Friendly Cleaning Option
Transit & Flow Group offers the Eco-Friendly Cleaning Option, which swaps standard cleaning products for a green, lower-chemical product line across your existing cleaning visit. It is a preference-based option, not a separate visit or a different checklist, and it applies to whichever cleaning service you already book: Recurring House Cleaning, Standard House Cleaning, or One-Time Deep Cleaning. Select it in the Estimate Builder and the same scope gets cleaned with different products.

Is this the right service for you?
This option fits households that simply prefer lower-chemical, green-labeled products in the home, whether that is a general environmental preference, a preference for less fragrance, or wanting to keep harsher chemicals out of a home with young kids or pets on the floor. It is a product preference, not a medical claim: we describe eco-friendly products as lower-chemical and green-labeled, not as hypoallergenic or medically safer, because that is not a claim we are able to verify or make.
If your priority for a given visit is maximum disinfecting strength on high-touch surfaces, particularly during cold and flu season or after an illness in the home, look at Disinfection Service instead. The two add-ons trade off against each other on purpose: many EPA-registered-type disinfecting products used for the Disinfection Service add-on are formulated for germ-killing strength rather than green certification, so a visit generally leans toward one priority or the other. If you want to talk through combining a limited version of both on the same visit, mention it when you book and our office will confirm what is workable. This option rides on top of a base cleaning visit, most commonly House Cleaning, so if you have not set one up yet, start there.
How pricing works
The Eco-Friendly Cleaning Option is priced as a modest flat add-on fee per visit, reflecting the product swap rather than any change to the cleaning scope or time on site. What changes the price: home size, since larger homes use more product volume per visit, and whether the option is a standing preference on a recurring schedule versus a single one-time request. Starting at $299.
As general market context, not a Transit & Flow quote, HomeGuide’s cleaning cost data notes that product-related cost differences in residential cleaning commonly run in the $5 to $10 per visit range, depending on whether products are company-supplied or customer-supplied (HomeGuide, “House Cleaning Prices”), which is roughly the scale of a product-line swap fee industry-wide. Enter your project details and photos in the Estimate Builder for a preliminary online estimate. Final scope and price subject to verification on site.
What’s included
- A full swap of standard cleaning products for our stocked green, lower-chemical product line
- Applied across the entire visit scope you already book, kitchen, bathrooms, floors, and dusting
- Available on Recurring House Cleaning, Standard House Cleaning, or One-Time Deep Cleaning
- The same published checklist as a standard visit; only the products change
What’s not included
- Specific brand requests beyond our stocked eco-friendly product line
- Any claim that eco-friendly products are hypoallergenic or medically safer than standard products
- Disinfecting-strength claims; if disinfecting is the priority for a visit, Disinfection Service is the add-on built for that
- Customer-supplied specialty products beyond the standard eco line (you can always leave your own products out for us to use instead, per our standard house cleaning terms)
Why demand shifts seasonally in Central Ohio
Interest in lower-chemical cleaning products tends to rise alongside Central Ohio’s spring pollen season, when windows open, indoor air quality becomes a more visible topic, and households already managing seasonal allergy symptoms, described here in general terms only, start paying closer attention to what is being used on surfaces at home. Busy dual-income households in Dublin, New Albany, and Lewis Center are also a common source of demand, since a green product preference is easy to set once and then leave standing on a recurring schedule rather than something to reconsider before every visit.
Our process
- Select it in the Estimate Builder. Add the Eco-Friendly Cleaning Option to Recurring House Cleaning, Standard House Cleaning, or One-Time Deep Cleaning when you book.
- Confirm at the first visit. Your cleaner confirms the product swap and notes any surfaces or rooms with specific preferences.
- Visit completed with the eco-friendly product line. Same checklist, same scope, different products used throughout.
- Note any adjustments. If a particular surface needs a different approach, flag it in your visit summary.
- Keep it standing or switch back anytime. Leave the option on every recurring visit, or toggle it on or off online for any upcoming visit.
Services completed by appropriately qualified professionals where required.
