Is this the right service for you?
Construction coordination is the narrowest and most tactical of our project-oversight services, focused specifically on the calendar during active construction. It fits homeowners who:
- Already have a project plan, budget, and trades lined up, but need someone managing the day-to-day sequencing so nothing sits idle waiting on the next crew
- Are juggling multiple trades themselves, framers, electricians, plumbers, drywall, finish carpentry, and losing time to phone tag and rescheduling
- Have had a project stall because one trade fell behind and nobody adjusted the trades scheduled after them
- Want a single person tracking who is supposed to be on site each day and flagging conflicts before they cause delays
- Are not looking for full budget management or advocacy against an outside contractor, just someone keeping the trade calendar on track during the build
If you need someone managing your entire budget and hiring the trades in the first place, that is broader than coordination; see our project-management service, where Transit & Flow directly runs the whole project. If you have an outside architect, designer, or general contractor and want Transit & Flow representing your interests in that relationship, see owner-s-representation instead. Construction coordination sits underneath both of those: it is the hands-on-the-calendar layer, not the budget or advocacy layer, and it pairs closely with our construction-scheduling service, which sets the overall timeline that coordination then executes day to day.
How pricing works
Construction coordination is scope-based, priced against project duration, trade count, and how much day-to-day scheduling volume your project generates:
- Coordination fee. Typically a fee scaled to project length and number of trades being coordinated, separate from the cost of the trade work itself. Starting at $299.
- Trade work itself. Priced per job as usual, whether performed directly by Transit & Flow or by a vetted third-party vendor for specialty work outside our core trades.
- What changes the price: number of trades involved, project duration, and how tightly sequenced the work needs to be (a kitchen remodel with five trades in a set order needs closer coordination than a simple two-trade project).
- How this differs from project-management and construction-scheduling. Project management includes full budget responsibility and trade hiring; coordination assumes trades are already assigned and focuses on daily logistics. Construction-scheduling sets the overall calendar and sequence; coordination executes that plan day to day, adjusting for no-shows, weather, or delays as they happen.
As general market context, not a Transit & Flow Group quote, Angi’s 2026 cost data notes that general contractors and multi-trade coordinators commonly add roughly 10% to 20% on top of subcontracted trade work for scheduling and coordination, a useful reference for what this kind of day-to-day management typically costs in the market. What’s included
- A single point of contact scheduling every trade on your active construction site
- Daily or weekly tracking of who is scheduled to be on site and in what sequence
- Rescheduling and adjustment when a trade runs late, a delivery slips, or weather pushes a task
- Communication with each trade so schedule changes are passed along without you making the calls
- Photo documentation of progress at each stage
- Flagging of conflicts, like a trade needing access before a prior step is finished, before they cause a delay
What’s not included
- Full budget management, invoice tracking, or hiring the trades themselves, covered under project-management
- Representing you against an outside architect, designer, or general contractor, covered under owner’s-representation
- Setting the overall project timeline and sequence from the start, covered under construction-scheduling, though the two work closely together
- Design or engineering decisions; coordination executes an agreed plan, it does not redesign it
Coordinating trades in Central Ohio
Active construction in Central Ohio runs into a predictable set of scheduling pressures. Freeze-thaw winters narrow the calendar for exterior trades, so when one weather delay pushes siding or roofing back a week, every interior trade scheduled to follow it needs to shift too, and someone has to make those calls the same day, not after the crew shows up to a job that isn’t ready for them. Older homes in neighborhoods like Clintonville, German Village, and Bexley also tend to surface hidden conditions once walls open, which can pause a trade mid-sequence while the issue gets resolved, and coordination means the trades scheduled behind that pause get rescheduled instead of showing up to a site that isn’t ready. In growth areas like New Albany, Dublin, and Lewis Center, inspector availability can vary by municipality, and a coordinator tracking inspection scheduling alongside trade scheduling keeps a project from losing days waiting on a step that could have been scheduled earlier.
Our process
- Share your project plan. Tell us your trades, rough timeline, and where scheduling has been breaking down, through the Estimate Builder or a call.
- Calendar review. We map every trade against the sequence they need to follow and build a working schedule.
- Daily coordination. As construction proceeds, we confirm trades are on site as scheduled and adjust immediately when something slips.
- Delay handling. Weather, material delays, or a trade running long get rescheduled without you making the calls.
- Progress updates. You get regular status updates with photos, so you know where the project stands day to day.
Services completed by appropriately qualified professionals where required.
