Wall-Mounted Fixture Installation in Columbus, Ohio
Transit & Flow Group installs functional wall-mounted fixtures for Columbus and Central Ohio homeowners who have already purchased the piece and just need it professionally mounted and secured. This service covers wall sconces, wall-mounted towel warmers, robe hooks that need blocking behind the wall, soap and towel dispensers, and similar fixtures that do a job rather than decorate a wall. Transit & Flow does not sell or supply the fixture itself. Tell us what you’re mounting and where in the Estimate Builder for a preliminary online estimate.

Is this the right service for you?
The dividing line for this page is simple: fixture versus decor. Wall-Mounted Fixture Installation covers functional items, things that hold weight, dispense something, or provide light or warmth: wall sconces, wall-mounted towel warmers, robe hooks needing solid blocking, soap or towel dispensers, and comparable fixtures. If the item is decor instead, a TV, a piece of art, a picture frame, a mirror, or a shelf, that’s covered by our published handyman-division pages instead: TV Mounting, Picture Hanging, Artwork Installation, Mirror Hanging, Floating Shelves, and Closet Shelving. Those pages are built around hanging and displaying, while this page is built around mounting something that needs to function and hold up to daily use.
If your project is a grab bar for bathroom safety, our Grab-Bar Installation service is the dedicated page for that, anchored specifically for fall-safety use. This page picks up adjacent functional fixtures that aren’t grab bars themselves, like a towel bar or robe hook near a grab bar, or a soap dispenser mounted nearby.
One more distinction matters here: if the fixture needs new electrical wiring run to it, not just mounting to an existing junction box or wall, that’s a job for our electrical team, not this simple install-only service. A wall sconce going onto an existing electrical box is a fixture-mounting job; a sconce going somewhere with no wiring at all is an electrical project first.
How pricing works
Wall-Mounted Fixture Installation is a single flat price for a standard install of a customer-supplied fixture. That price assumes:
- A fixture mounting to an existing electrical box (for lighted fixtures) or to a wall with accessible blocking or studs (for towel warmers, hooks, and dispensers)
- No new electrical wiring required
- Standard mounting hardware included with the fixture, or reasonably standard hardware we can supply
What steps the price up: a fixture that needs new wiring run to it (routed to our electrical team instead), a wall with no accessible blocking where the fixture needs solid backing, such as a heavy towel warmer or wall-mounted unit with no stud nearby, or a fixture requiring non-standard anchoring the manufacturer specifies. We flag any of these before proceeding.
As general market context, not a Transit & Flow Group quote, HomeAdvisor’s 2025 data shows mounting a wall-mounted fixture like a sconce or towel warmer, where wiring or blocking already exists, typically running $100 to $300 in labor, with costs rising when new blocking or wiring has to be added first. Starting at $299.

Central Ohio context
Older homes in Clintonville, German Village, and Bexley often have plaster-and-lath walls, and finding solid blocking for a heavier fixture like a towel warmer can take more care than it does in newer drywall construction. These homes also sometimes have older wiring near light fixtures that doesn’t match modern junction box standards, which we check before connecting anything new. In newer construction around Dublin, New Albany, and Powell, standard stud spacing and modern electrical boxes generally make fixture mounting more predictable and quicker.
Our process

- Book online or call (614) 382-0000.
- On-site assessment. We confirm the wall, wiring, or blocking situation matches a standard install. Final scope and price subject to verification here.
- Mounting. Fixture secured with hardware appropriate to its weight and function.
- Final check. Fixture tested for function (light, warmth, or hold), confirmed level and secure, area cleaned up before we leave.
